Over the past year times have been very tough for everyone and one thing that has suffered is our ability to train in Martial Arts. Fortunately the technology based world we now live in has enabled us to continue our training via Zoom. While the training has been quite limiting on what we could do, it did serve its purpose in keeping people active and progressing in their Martial Arts journey.
While the pandemic has seen a lot of negatives throughout we now have a huge opportunity that has been offered our way. On 1st June 2021 we will be opening the doors to our very own Tang Soo Do Studio. Looking for a studio has been something I've pursued for about last the last 5 years but to no avail. Finally I can say we have a place of our own that has only been made possible due to the conditions that the pandemic has caused. So although life has been tough for many people over the past year we have been very fortunate to come out with something that I hope will be very positive for the Market Deeping Tang Soo Do Club as we move forward.
Having a place of our own will offer many different opportunities when it comes to training. We can offer much more classes to cater for more students, classes can be divided into categories to offer more focused training, we can look into classes for people with more specific needs, a variety equipment will be on hand for more varied training, and much more.
In August this year it will be the 10th anniversary of MDTSD and I'm delighted that we have this amazing new opportunity to mark our 10th year. The future of the club looks very bright and thank you to all the students that have supported and continued their training over the years. I'd also like to say a huge thank you to Claire Cross at Spinroom Studio who has given us the use of this great space.
I'm looking forward to welcoming you all to the studio very soon so we can continue our training in this new chapter of MDTSD.
